The Dish Ran Away With The Spoon
Blacksmithing + Coppersmithing: Level 1
During this 2 day course you will experience what it is like to shape both copper and steel using fire and hammers. You will forge a series of small steel ramekins that can be used for holding dipping sauces or snacks.
You will then be introduced to the basics of coppersmithing through the creation of your own coffee scoop, which will be made from a small copper dish and a forged steel handle. You will have the opportunity to customize this handle to your own design! As a bonus, we will also guide you through the process of carving out your own wooden chopsticks that you will take home as part of your handmade projects.
Prerequisites: None.
