Garden Gate
We have done a number of projects for Philip Servos over the past twenty years: a garden gate, driveway gates and copper clad windowsills.
All parts of both garden gates were forged completely by hand. The square bars were slit and drifted and then fitted to the frames with forged mortise and tenons.
Driveway Gates
The driveway gates are installed on the Bruce Peninsula. The design intention was to capture the layers of sedimentary rock that form the peninsula; the vertical forms represent the thousand-year-old cedar trees growing out of that rock.
